Unlike many standardized tests, the CSET does not have set national test dates published in advance. Instead, it is offered on a continuous, year-round basis at Pearson Vue testing centers across California and nationwide.
This means you pick your own date based on your preparation timeline and seat availability at your preferred testing center. Most popular California centers (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento) typically have available seats within 1–3 weeks of when you search.

CSET Spanish Subtest I is administered entirely on a computer at a Pearson Vue testing center. You type your constructed-response answers directly into the testing interface. Scratch paper is provided. No personal devices are permitted in the testing room.
